For a solid wooden gate, you would not usually need extra parts beyond the lock itself, as long as the gate is within the supported thickness range and you have a solid wood post or frame to receive the latch. The CL290 installation instructions show that the standard lock set includes the tubular latch, strike plate, wood screws, fixing bolts, and spindle, and the lock is listed for wooden or metal doors 1 3/8" to 2 3/8" thick.
If the gate does not have a normal frame/stop, or if it is an open-style gate where the latch has nothing solid to strike against, then you may need an added mounting/strike solution. For gate-specific installs, Codelocks offers a CL290 Gate Box Kit that includes a weldable gate box and an adjustable strike bracket with U-bolt fastener, described as a complete kit for gate installation
