A high security key is a key designed with added features that make it harder to duplicate, pick, or bypass compared to a standard key. These keys often use special cuts, unique keyways, side grooves, dimples, or patented designs that require specific equipment and authorization to copy.
High security keys are commonly used for commercial buildings, restricted key systems, and some residential or automotive applications where better key control is needed. In many cases, a high security key can only be duplicated by an authorized locksmith or dealer with the proper blank and cutting machine.
