The Lockey 2950-DC, SKU LK-2950-DC-MG, is not typically the best choice for a standard residential sliding patio/glass door. It is a mechanical narrow-stile hook bolt lock designed to replace Adams-Rite style hardware with a 1-1/8" backset, commonly used on aluminum storefront doors and some sliding gates.
