For the Don-Jo BLP-207, SKU DNJ-BLP-207-DU, use a 1/4" drill bit for the two thru-bolt holes. This latch protector uses 1/4-20 machine xxxx fasteners, so the door holes need to clear 1/4" hardware. Don-Jo lists the BLP-207 as a 3-1/4" x 7" outswing latch protector with concealed welded studs and fasteners.
For easier alignment during installation, some installers may slightly oversize the holes to 9/32", but the standard starting size is 1/4". Always use the template to mark the hole locations before drilling.
