26D and 32D are both satin/silver hardware finishes, but they refer to different base materials. 26D usually means satin chrome-plated finish, commonly used on brass or zinc-based hardware. 32D means satin stainless steel, which is generally more corrosion-resistant and often preferred for commercial, exterior, or high-use applications.
