The CGDI K2 can identify and copy many transponder chips, but compatibility with Honda “H” smart keys depends on the exact chip type and vehicle application. Honda smart keys commonly use encrypted chips, so the K2 may be able to read/identify the chip, but that does not always mean it can clone it directly like a standard transponder chip.
For Honda smart keys, verify the year, model, original key FCC ID, chip type, and CGDI K2 software coverage before attempting a copy. In many cases, a Honda smart key may need to be programmed to the vehicle rather than simply cloned chip-to-chip.
