For most jobs, NASTF credentials are not needed with the Xtool AutoProPad G3 Evolution (SKU: XTL-APPAD-G3-E) — the tool reads or calculates the required security data itself on the majority of domestic and Asian vehicles. NASTF only comes into play when the manufacturer keeps that data locked behind an OEM portal and no bypass exists.
The most common situations are Toyota and Lexus 2018+ systems that require a 12-digit seed/security code, certain Nissan models needing a 22-digit PIN conversion, and 2018+ FCA (Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram) vehicles with the Security Gateway, which requires an AutoAuth account that locksmiths typically obtain after NASTF VSP verification. Newer GM platforms can also require an OEM-supplied PIN.
