How do I qualify for the UHS Preferred Plus Loyalty Program — and is there a fee to join?
There is no fee to join. The program is completely free and based entirely on your prior year spending with UHS Hardware.
You automatically qualify for:
- Preferred Pro: $10,000–$19,999 annual spend
- Preferred Max: $20,000–$39,999 annual spend
- Preferred Ultra: $40,000+ annual spend
The more you spend, the higher your tier and the better your benefits — no subscription required.
What shipping benefits do I get as a loyalty member?
All three tiers receive free shipping on orders of $99 or more.
For orders under $99, members receive free shipping coupons based on their tier:
- Preferred Pro: One free shipping coupon twice per year
- Preferred Max: One free shipping coupon per quarter
- Preferred Ultra: Two free shipping coupons per quarter with no handling fee
Preferred Max and Ultra members also receive discounted UPS Next Day Air Saver shipping:
- Preferred Max: $14.99 UPS Next Day Air Saver
- Preferred Ultra: $9.99 UPS Next Day Air Saver
How do I find out how much I've spent with UHS to know which tier I qualify for?
You can view your purchase history and total spend by logging into your account at uhs-hardware.com.
Once logged in, your account dashboard will show your order history, which you can use to calculate your prior year spend and determine which tier you qualify for:
- Preferred Pro: $10,000–$19,999
- Preferred Max: $20,000–$39,999
- Preferred Ultra: $40,000+

I'm an existing Preferred Plus subscriber — what happens to my account?
If you were an existing annual Preferred Plus subscriber, you will automatically be placed into the Preferred Ultra tier, the highest level in the new loyalty program.
This gives you access to premium benefits including:
- 2x loyalty points
- $9.99 overnight shipping
- $50 anniversary discount
- Maximum Pick Your Sale Day savings
Regardless of previous subscription status, all existing members must opt in to the new loyalty program to activate benefits.

How do loyalty points work, and do I need to do anything to earn them?
UHS Preferred Plus integrates with the Smile Rewards points program.
- Preferred Pro: Earn points at the standard 1x rate
- Preferred Max: Earn points at the standard 1x rate
- Preferred Ultra: Earn points at a 2x rate on qualifying purchases
To receive points, you must be enrolled in the Smile Rewards program. You can opt in by creating or logging into your account.
Are there training benefits included in the program?
Yes. Preferred Max and Preferred Ultra members receive discounts on training programs.
- Preferred Max: 15% off online training and 15% off one in-person expo or class per year
- Preferred Ultra: 25% off online training and 20% off one class per year
Preferred Pro members do not currently receive training discounts but may still purchase training at standard pricing.
What discounts and savings come with each tier?
Every tier receives a $25 anniversary discount.
Members also receive a yearly Pick Your Sale Day benefit for one order, excluding machines.
- Preferred Pro: $25 off orders of $250+
- Preferred Max: $25 off $250+ or $60 off $500+
- Preferred Ultra: $25 off $250+, $60 off $500+, or $125 off $1,000+
Preferred Ultra members enjoy the greatest flexibility and savings on larger purchases.
Is there an extended order cutoff time for Preferred Max and Preferred Ultra members?
Yes. Preferred Max and Preferred Ultra members benefit from an extended order cutoff time of 4:30 PM Eastern Time — one full hour later than the standard order cutoff.
This gives members additional flexibility to place orders later in the business day while still having them picked, processed, and prepared for same-day shipment.
- Preferred Max: Extended 4:30 PM ET order cutoff
- Preferred Ultra: Extended 4:30 PM ET order cutoff
- Preferred Pro: Standard order cutoff time applies
This benefit is especially valuable for locksmiths and security professionals who receive last-minute service requests and need parts shipped the same day.
