Toyota OEM transponder ignition key for a 2020 Corolla.

This is a very nice looking key that would eliminate my having to carry around the bulky stock remote that I would only be using occasionally for my son's car. Based on past experience I ordered the Toyota factory part, believing that it would be easier for a locksmith to program and work better than an aftermarket key. I was wrong, because the locksmith was unable to program the key to work correctly. A call to one of his coworkers confirmed that for now, at least, only Toyota dealers can program the OEM keys. I ended up having the locksmith program an aftermarket key from his stock on hand, and it works OK. I plan to check later with a Toyota dealer to see what it will cost to have the now already cut factory OEM key programmed.
