The Locktech Kwikset SmartKey GEN 5 Accessory Tool is designed to accurately decode the latest version of Kwikset SmartKey locks. Combined with the LTKSD and/or LTKSD 2.0 digital scope, it will allow the user to decode the new Kwikset SmartKey GEN 5 KW1 locks. Because of the change in Kwikset Smart key locks starting around February 2023 the LTKSD and/or LTKSD2.0 digital slope could no longer discern a difference between the 1, 2, or 3's in the new GEN 5 locks. As a result, It became necessary to develop a tool to decode the 1, 2, & 3 depths for these GEN 5 locks.
