The ESL / ELV Emulator is used for w204 w207 and w212 vehicles when the OEM steering lock fails. You drill it and take it out, then replace it with this part directly and program it with the immobilizer data of the vehicle. It's an excellent choice for customers when this happens, and it often does.

This emulator is designed for use with the VVDI MB tool but can be used by other machines that program Mercedes Benz as as well

Worked ok

It worked but not without its own set of issues. First off the Emulator was turned off when I got them. There was never a sound when the key was inserted into the EIS, even after writing the IMMO data to the emulator there was no sound. Which leads me to the next issue. The IM608 said that the ESL write failed and none of the data changed when I re read the ESL data. I did however come accross some helpful info on the google that even though the IM608 says it failed, it was still succesful. For me this was true. Even though it said failed and none of the data changed the vehicle still keyed up, started and ran. So fair warning, make sure you turn the audile noise on via the switch and if using the IM series Autels, even if it says failed it should still work.
