Just what I needed

Per the instructions I had to take apart and use with existing lock for my 2002 vw beetle. Hardest part was getting old lock cylinder out without damaging everything. After that is was pretty straight forward to out everything back together. That little spring is a bit if a challenge to get back together, just takes patience and time. This saved me!!! I wish I would have ordered it when I first came across it.

Perfect lock, just not for this year and model

I received it quick and in good order, but it did not fit the 2001 Beetle, it was too long for the door opening by about 1/4 inch.
Sent it back for a refund.
