Designed to detect fiber breakpoints, fiber leaks, poor connections, and stress points, this rugged visual fault locator is perfect for field personnel detecting faults in fiber optic cables. This rugged VFL features the following:

  • 650 nm >
  • Has three different modes with constant output power: Continuous wave, pulsing, and slower pulsing mode
  • Works in OTDR dead zones and is used for end-to-end visual fiber identification
  • Protective sleeve can be rotated to keep power button safe from being accidently pressed
  • Light and portable pen-style design with rugged aluminum housing is perfect for jobsites and on-the-go use
  • 60 hours of battery life powered by two AA batteries (included)
  • Also includes adapters for 1.5 mm and 2.5mm ferruled connectors, such as FC, SC, and ST connectors, as well as an LC adapter for LC connectors, carrying pouch, batteries, and instructions
